1965-1969: THE MUSIC

Beatlemania! In February of '64 the Beatles were on the Ed Sulivan show, and America was never the same -- 1964's charts includes plenty of hits by the Fab Four. A new sound was being developed by groups like the Beach Boys, the Dave Clark Five and the Motown groups. But that '50s sound was slow to fade, as evidenced by charts appearances by Dean Martin and Andy Williams.
