DEDICATION at the Marine Corps Museum, Quantico VA ~ 1 PM June 1, 2014
In 2010 several former members of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines formed the 3/3 Memorial Foundation to honor all members of “America’s Battalion” past, present and future. The board of directors is chaired by former 3/3 members and the 31st Commandant of the Marine Corps General Charles C. Krulak. Representatives from the pre-Vietnam era, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq are on the board or are officers of the foundation.
As a permanent tribute to the Marines and Sailors of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, the Foundation has placed a memorial in the Memorial Park on the grounds of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.
The 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines is a non-profit 501(c)19 corporation.
Honor Roll of those who have financially supported this project.
The task is completed. The Memorial is in place with landscaping finished.
