Respect

When mornings break so cold and clear   And breath so fresh is seen on air

We warriors meet to share respect   And talk of times to not forget

In coffee shops and parks each day   Just marking time while children play

We warriors meet to share respect   And talk of times to not forget

Those mornings broke so cold and clear   And rage of war was daily fare

We warriors stopped to show respect   Where life and death so often met

When comrade's life was ere laid down   On battlefields' most holy ground

Old warriors met to show respect   And vowed these lives to ne'er forget

When mornings break so cold and clear   And breath so fresh is seen on air

Old soldiers meet to share respect   Remind the young to not forget
